« The desire to extend a little the Erasmus feeling »
After having obtained her baccalaureate specialised in Economic and Social sciences, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the university of Clermont-Auvergne, Marion had the opportunity to go for an Erasmus stay in Czech Republic during her third year of Bachelor’s degree, where she had the opportunity to discover the ESN. Then, she did the first year of a Psychology Master’s degree in Bordeaux, but she didn’t liked it. As she felt a little lost, she decided to take time to think about her professional project, and that way, she entered the WorldTop ESN association.
The Erasmus Student Network allowed her, during her Erasmus stay, to meet new people, to participate in events, parties, trips, and she keeps good memories. « It was so good », she tells.
« An rich experience, professionally and personally »
The major personal benefit for Marion are the meetings. Indeed, during her Civic Service, she had the opportunity to be in contact with a lot of people, especially the association’s members, and also the international students. « This experience gave me lots of things, especially the meetings. And mostly the meetings, in fact. » she declares.
As a psychology student, the missions given to Marion were really different from her studies field. This experience allowed her to acquire knowledges and skills on communication, event’s organization… This experience also gave her the opportunity to think about her future professional carrer.
Marion had a lot of beautiful moments in WorldTop ESN, and for her, « My best memory is the Welcome Week. » Indeed, it allowed her to meet everyone, thanks to the events organised each day during the entire week.
« I’ll really miss people. », she explains. Marion attached a lot to the people she worked with during her Civic Service, and to the « social » side of her work: meetings, welcoming international students, who are always in a good mood, and the association’s members.
« An advice for the future Civic Services »
« Don’t be shy. I know that I can be a little bit reserved at the beginning, but obscuring this part of me, I was able to meet incredible people. It is so important. For me, it is the Civic Service in which you have to be on top in every single moment! Everyone is so benevolent, don’t hesitate to give the best of you! »
